The Royal Society makes Philip Davies a Industrial Fellow. Dr. Philip Davies, Principal Engineer at Seawater Greenhouse was today awarded a two year Industrial Fellowship at the Royal Society.

London Design Museum awards the Seawater Greenhouse. London's Design Museum presented its first Design Sense Award to Charlie Paton of Light Works, Ltd. Paton received a £40,000 prize for his work on the Seawater Greenhouse. The judges felt the Seawater Greenhouse building offered great potential to other arid areas in the world facing problems of fresh water and food supply.
